The Allman Brothers Band

Seems hard to believe that The Allman Brothers Band formed in 1969, and they are still going strong today. Not only are the still performing, but they also sound fantastic as well. The twin guitar interplay of Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes rivals anything that was done previously, and the backing section of Johnny Johanson, Oteil Burbridge, Marc Quinones and Butch Trucks is a rhythmic machine. As for Gregg Allman, is there a better blues-vocalist in the world? I'll answer that for you: nope. Photos are from their Labor Day performance at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Alpharetta, Georgia.  Website | Facebook (Click images to view larger versions in Lightbox).
